Commercial service agreement
A solar installation nobody follows up loses money quietly
An inverter that has been off for three months raises no alarm in the accounts — only output that is slightly lower than last year. The service agreement finds it before you do.
What it covers
What we do
-
Annual inspection on site
A visual inspection of the installation, carried out by 1 June. We go through inverters, cabling and the mounting system.
-
Drone thermography
We fly the installation and find the cells and strings that are not performing as they should. AC distribution boards are surveyed every second year.
-
Remote monitoring with alarms
From the Standard level the installation is monitored continuously and the alarms come to us. You get your own access and can watch the output yourself.
-
Warranty and claims support
If a component fails, we take the claim to the manufacturer on your behalf — and we hold our own stock of spare parts, inverters included.
Three levels
Warranty support is included whichever level you choose. What separates them is whether the installation is monitored continuously, how often we are on it, how thoroughly we survey it with thermography, and how quickly we turn out.
| Basis | Standard | Premium | |
|---|---|---|---|
| On-site inspections per year | 1 | 1 | 2 |
| Drone thermography | Basic | Basic | In depth |
| Remote monitoring with alarms | – | Yes | Yes |
| Response time on a stoppage | 10 working days | 5 working days | 5 working days |
| Warranty and claims support | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Response time means fault-finding has started — not that the fault has been put right. How long a repair takes depends on what is wrong and whether the part is in stock.
Price
Prices are from-prices excluding VAT and depend on the size of the installation. We also tailor packages where none of the three levels fits.
- Basis — from 9 995 kr per year
- Standard — from 19 500 kr per year
- Premium — from 35 000 kr per year
If you have several installations, we price the portfolio as a share of the original contract sum per year. A quarterly status report is included on portfolio agreements.
Installations from others
We also take over installations we did not deliver
That covers installations from the former Solcellespesialisten AS as well as installations from other suppliers.
-
We start with a condition survey
For an installation with no previous service agreement we carry out a condition survey first, so that both you and we know what we are taking on. It costs from 5 000 kroner excluding VAT.
-
Then we set up monitoring
At Standard and Premium the installation is connected to our monitoring, you get your own access, and the alarms start reaching us instead of going nowhere.
-
After that it runs as normal
From then on the installation follows the level you have chosen, with inspection, thermography and support as usual.
Monitoring
Remote monitoring is included from the Standard level. Which platform you get depends on the installation:
- Solar-Log for conventional production monitoring of a solar installation.
- The inverter manufacturer’s own portal where that suits the installation best.
- Fifty Energy’s platform for installations with a battery. That also opens up the option of offering flexibility in the frequency markets, provided the installation is larger than 1 MWp.
What is not included
We think it is cleaner to say this in advance than to argue it afterwards.
- Product warranties on panels, inverters and batteries sit with the manufacturer. We help you bring the claim, but we are not the guarantor.
- Warranty and complaint obligations from the former Solcellespesialisten AS have not been assumed by EnergiSmart Norge AS. If you have an installation from that company, we are glad to talk about what we can do — but the service agreement is not a continuation of the old warranty.
- Repairs beyond the scope of the agreement are invoiced at an hourly rate. For larger work you get a written quotation first.
- Travel, materials and access-platform hire for repairs are invoiced separately.
- Panel cleaning, snow clearing and damage from external causes such as storms, vandalism and animals. Cleaning and snow clearing can be ordered as extras; damage is normally covered by your insurance.
Questions and answers
About the service agreement
…or can you not find what you are looking for?
Contact us-
01. Can you take over an installation you did not deliver?
Yes. We take over installations both from the former Solcellespesialisten AS and from other suppliers. For an installation with no previous service agreement we carry out a condition survey first, from 5 000 kroner excluding VAT.
-
02. What does response time mean?
That fault-finding has started within the deadline — not that the fault has been put right. How long the repair takes depends on what is wrong and whether the part is in stock. We hold our own stock of spare parts, inverters included.
-
03. Can I watch the output myself?
Yes, from the Standard level. That includes remote monitoring with alarm handling, and you get your own access. Which platform depends on the installation: Solar-Log, the inverter manufacturer’s portal, or Fifty Energy’s platform for installations with a battery. Basis covers the annual inspection, but not continuous monitoring.
-
04. How long does the agreement run?
Portfolio agreements have run for three years with automatic renewal. For a single installation the standard is one year.
-
05. Does the service agreement continue the warranty from the old company?
No. Warranty and complaint obligations from the former Solcellespesialisten AS have not been assumed by EnergiSmart Norge AS. The service agreement is a new agreement covering the upkeep of the installation. If you have a warranty question on an older installation, get in touch anyway — we look at each case on its merits.
-
06. Is panel cleaning included?
Not as standard. Solar panels are largely self-cleaning, and washing them rarely pays in the Norwegian climate. If your installation does need it, you order cleaning as an extra.
